Harper's gonna win this and the final two games won't matter at all, I wouldn't be surprised if Harper sat both of them. Bryce Harper carried this team to meaningful games into the final week of the season, literally carried them. Phillies history will be very good to Bryce Harper when people look into the rear view mirror and study his 2021 season. I suspect it will end up being the best individual season of his Phillie career, though he will still be very good for the next few years and might still taste playoff baseball at some point.
There are more than a few really BIG baseball fans that I know who look at the Phillies lineup daily and have NO idea who some of these players are. Bryce Harper just put together a 2nd half for the ages, one that rivals Schmidt's 1980 or Howard's 2006. He was that good.
He wins the MVP and I don't think it will be particularly close. Soto was great on a team that was lousy and finished either last or next to last. Harper was great on a team that was lousy and yet played meaningful games into the final week of the season.
